This evening, the 21st edition of the Pioneers League & PBA Membership Qualifying Tournament wrapped up at Longmarch Bowling Center in Shanghai. A total of 24 bowlers took part, from various regions across mainland China, as well as China‘s Taiwan and Hong Kong regions—with one participant from South Korea.

Over three days of competition, with two 6-game sections per day, only one player met the threshold for PBA membership eligibility: an average score exceeding 200 across 36 games. Deng Junwen, a youth bowler from Hong Kong delivered a standout performance, tallying 7,440 total points in 36 games for an average of 206.67 per game.

First launched in 2014 and hosted in cities across China, the Pioneers League is a program officially authorized by PBA for its membership qualifying. Prior to this 21st edition, 111 bowlers had already earned PBA membership through this program. Once Deng Junwen completes his registration, he will become the 112th bowler to secure PBA membership via the Pioneers League program.
